Charla Moore, D.V.M.

Dr. Moore is a Charlotte, North Carolina native and 1994 graduate of Tuskegee University's School of Veterinary Medicine. After owning and operating her own veterinary practice in Lithonia for years, she joined the AECD team to follow one of her passions - emergency and critical care medicine.  Dr. Moore also enjoys exotic medicine, orthopedic and soft tissue laser surgery and she is currently training in acupuncture.  Dr, Moore is a proud member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS). 

 

 

 

Elaine Streithof, D.V.M.

 Dr. Streithof  received her bachelor's degree at The University of Virginia and enjoyed a career as a graphic designer for several years before attending University of Georgia Veterinary School of Medicine.  She completed a small animal internship at Oklahoma State University in 2002 and has been an emergency and critical care clinician since then.  Dr. Streithof says she enjoys spending her spare time with her two dogs, "Angel" and "Annie", three cats,         "Fiona", "Wallace" and "Boots", and her fiancee, Michael.

 

 

 

 

Meredith Ghee, D.V.M.

Dr. Ghee is a 1993 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.  After graduation she moved to New England to work in a large animal ambulatory practice for a year and then moved to Boston where she worked in a small animal practice.  During this same period, Dr. Ghee also worked for an animal emergency clinic.  Dr. Ghee had her own small animal practice, after moving to Vermont in 2000, for eight years.  Dr. Ghee returned back to Georgia in 2009 and joined AECD shortly thereafter.  She enjoys all aspects of internal and emergency medicine and Dr. Ghee says she also enjoys providing ongoing client communication and education.

Dr. Ghee has 3 dogs, "Eli" and "Winston" (pictured) Bernese Mountain dogs and "Hazel" an English Springer Spaniel, 4 cats, 3 donkeys, 4 goats, 5 sheep, 3 rabbits and a flock of chickens.  Dr. Ghee says, "My farm is my hobby and all but the donkeys and chickens are for fiber production for knitting and other fiber art".

Claudia Angel

Veterinary Technician

Claudia grew up in Chicago, IL, and was the youngest of 9 children.  She received her associate's degree in Science from Florida Atlantic University and is currently attending University of Georgia, with hopes of one day being able to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian.  Claudia said one of her favorite enjoyments, is taking long walks with her husband and their dog, "Lykos".

 

 

 

 

Gina Ann Castorino, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Gina is originally from Philadelphia, PA, where she worked for 10 years as an emergency/critical care veterinary nurse in The University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Emergency Service.  She was also a coordinator for the University's emergency service volunteer program.  Gina graduated with a BA in Biology and a Master's degree in Conservation Biology from The University of Pennsylvania.  Gina is also a veteran of the U.S. Army, where she served as a military intelligence computer analyst in Germany.

Gina enjoys hiking with Trent, her rescued Pit Bull, sailing with her family,        kickboxing, skiing, and hanging out at home with her Maine Coon cats, Neo & Jinx.

 

 

 

Robert McAdams

Veterinary Technician

"Rob" was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, and graduated from Science Hill High School.  After 7 years in the U.S. Navy, he moved to Atlanta in 1996.   Having loved and owned animals his whole life, he jumped into the veterinary field that year as well, and has worked in general, emergency and specialty practices.  Rob loves sports, particularly Tennessee Vols and Pittsburgh Steelers football.  He is married to Wanda, and has 4 children: Britney, Destiny, Imani and Kobei.  They have 2 dogs: Gia and Phoebe.

 

 

 

 

Jacqueline Charleston

Veterinary Technician

"Jackie" is a native of Georgia; born in Dublin (GA) and raised in Atlanta. She is an alumni of Fort Valley State College and University, where she concentrated her studies in Veterinary Technology. She is currently pursuing a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. Jackie is the proud owner of three dogs: JoJo (pictured), Keiko and Buddy.  Jackie enjoys spending her free time with relatives and friends.

Will Draper, D.V.M.

Dr. Draper grew up in Inglewood, California, and graduated from Morningside High School in 1984 before matriculating to Tuskegee University (4th generation) for both undergraduate and veterinary medical studies.  He was accepted to veterinary school after only 3 years of undergraduate studies; and received his DVM in 1991. He worked for a local practice before starting his own practice, The Village Vets, in 2001.  He, with a group others, started AECD in November 2007.  He and his wife, Dr. Francoise Tyler,  have 4 children: son David, and daughters Tyler, Gabrielle, and Olivia.  They also have 3 dogs (Gypsy, Harley and Angel) and 3 cats (Fagen, ZigZag and Caleb). He enjoys music, little league baseball, painting, and movies.

 

 

 

Treasure Dreher

Treasure has been in veterinary practice management  since 1993.  She graduated from North Georgia College with a BS in Biology and a Chemistry minor.  She enjoys spending time with her family, horseback riding, reading and traveling.  She is  married to Joe, an architect, and they have two sons, Alexander and Maxmillian. They own three dogs, Sabine, Bailey, and Marvin.  Treasure also adopted an OTT (off the track) thoroughbred horse, Grey Goose.  She also owns two goats, Oscar and Stewart, and two miniature horses, Tonka Toy and Elmo. Treasure is very excited to be part of a great team and always looks forward to helping clients and their pets.
 

 

 

Tanqon Clink

Assistant Manager

Tanqon ("Tan") was born in Athens, GA and eventually moved to the Atlanta area in 1996.  She attended college in Grambling, Louisiana at Grambling State University.  Tan has two brothers whom are both younger than her.  Tan enjoys writing, painting, singing and cooking.  Tan has worked in animal care for the past 4 years.

 

 

 

 

 

Dianna McAuley

Dianna is from Louisville, Kentucky, but has been in the metro Atlanta area for some time. She attended Bellarmine University.   She and Dr. Draper worked together for years prior to her joining our team. Her hobbies include movies, decorating, biking, watching hockey, antiquing and traveling. She and her husband, Mark, live in Villa Rica and have 3 dogs (2 of whom are rescues), Samantha, a Chow Chow, Doodle, a Husky mix, and Butter, a Chow mix.
